Since 2014, the iCIO Community, a community of chief information officers (CIOs) within Indonesian companies, has held the ICIO Awards annually – except during the COVID-19 pandemic – to honor CIOs who have been shown to understand the challenges and needs of doing business by delivering business value and innovation through the use of IT. Following the pandemic, the ICIO Awards is back in 2023.

The 2023 iCIO Awards, which also saw the awarding of chief executive officers (CEOs) who inspire others in digital transformation, drew applicants from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds. Through a judging process that included an application screening, ranking, selection interview and judges' deliberation, three CIOs and one CEO climbed to the top.

The iCIO Community conferred the Most Intelligent CIO Award on state-owned pharmaceutical company PT Bio Farma vice president Soleh Ayubi, the Most Influential CIO Award on telecommunication company PT XL Axiata director and chief strategic transformation and enterprise business officer Yessie D. Yosetya, and the Most Innovative CIO Award on Bambang Setyawan Djojo, international business and technology director of retail company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya. Moreover, financial service company PT Federal International Finance (FIFGROUP) president director Margono Tanuwijaya received the award for the Most Inspiring CEO. As the recipients of the iCIO Awards, the winners received, among other honors, publication in mass media and the iCIO Community website, recognition as Indonesian IT leaders, as well as access, connection and interaction with business, government and community leaders.

The CIO awards were judged by Pradita University rector Richardus Eko Indrajit, former communications and information minister Rudiantara, Ernst & Young Indonesia partner Herry Atmadja and The Jakarta Post editor-in-chief Taufiqurrahman. Meanwhile, the CEO award was judged by former transportation minister and former energy and mineral resources minister Ignasius Jonan, in addition to Petrosca commissioner and Tripatra engineer Hasnul Suhaimi.
